Details of Touch Screen 2711P-RDK15C
The 2711P-RDK15C is a PanelView terminal that belongs to the PanelView Plus 1500 series. It is manufactured and designed by Allen-Bradley. The Allen-Bradley 2711P-RDK15C PanelView terminal features a keypad and a 15.0 inches color display. The resolution of the display is 1024 x 768 pixels and it has a high-bright luminance. The keypad’s keys include function, numeric, and navigation keys. This terminal requires a single power supply of 24 (18 to 32) Volts DC and 70 Watts maximum (2.9 Amps at 24 Volts DC). This external supply must be used only for the terminal and it must not be grounded because it is internally protected. The power consumption of this terminal is 160 VA maximum and its heat dissipation is 240 BTU per hour.
Prior to the installation and mounting of the Allen-Bradley 2711P-RDK15C PanelView terminal, users must determine the kind of enclosure that suits the terminal best, depending on the kind of environment it will be exposed to. It is important to protect the screen from ultraviolet or infrared rays since these will significantly decrease the life of the screen. The 2711P-RDK15C is not recommended to place the terminal on the south or west side of the cabinet, or it may absorb too much heat during the day. It is also recommended to leave minimum clearances on each side of the terminal to allow for an adequate level of ventilation. Overview of Touch Screen
Touch-screen displays are analog resistive and similar except for size.
The touch screen may be operated with a finger, gloved finger, or plastic stylus device with a minimum tip radius of 1.3 mm (0.051 in.) to prevent damage to the touch screen. Using any other object or tool may damage the touch screen.
